Best Friend's Animal Shelter

On the interum trip to Utah we had all learned about how animals can be poorly treated and abused.  There were different animals and stories how they ended up in the shelter. The first day, when we were there we got a tour of the shelter. We were shown were they had buried animals that had passed away in the Pet Cemetary.  A lot of walking was done that day.  

Fate (the picture above) was a dog that had a hard beginning of life. She was abuse and mistreated poorly.  She had been taken out of the home where the owners had her, and was sent to the Best Friend's Animal Shelter.  Fate is one of the few dogs that had been saved, and has been taken care of put into a normal home with the dogs that have the same thing going on with them.  They all end up very happy in the animal shelter, and are living better lives then ever.  

Rick was showing the black lab puppy. This day, we were taught how to train puppies correctly. How they should be properly trained, and how all dogs have different ways of learning to be disciplined.  

This is the guy who ran the runs for the rabbits. He takes care of them, feeds them, makes sure that they all have a safe place to be able to live and not be physically abused for any reason.

The cats at the animal shelter all had plenty of stories to why they had ended up in the shelter.  These cats all are groomed and treated better then before.
