Gay Rights

In my opinion I think that all gay people should have the same rights the other people in the United States have.  Like my best friend is gay her name is Valerie Gomez Corona and she’s gay. Everywhere we would go people would look at her weird and treat her different because of the way she would dress or act.  When she would be going to school students would be making fun of her because of the way she was, but she gets along with anyone who doesn’t judge her.  Her own parents even disown her because she is gay and they tell her that they are embarrassed to walk around with her the way she is.  With me I get along with all of them because I think that they are some of the nicest people you could ever meet and they are very easy to get along with too.  There are plenty of people that are against the right of gay people having their rights. Some people think there should be absolutely no gay marriage at all.  People who are against the gay rights are messed up because they put the people who like the same sex on the death penalty.  In my opinion that’s killing an innocent person for nothing they did. As long as they don’t put the move against you, I think your ok, but people think other wise wanting to make the gay people suffer because they don’t like the fact that they like the same sex doesn’t give them the right to put an innocent person to death.  The only places that people have actually passed the laws of gay marriage or gay rights are China and Canada. I think anyone has the right to be happy whether they’re straight or gay.  There have even been famous people who have been married, plenty of their family members were not happy with the choice they made, but had to still be very happy for them because they’re their kids and deserve to be happy.

President Obama is trying to expand the rights of gays.  He’s trying to go through one restriction after another for the public policy while trying to avoid a confrontation with the Republicans and opponents of gay rights.  In the result of Obama trying to change gay rights the scores of federal rules blocking gay rights have been swept aside or reinterpreted.  The labor department is expected to announce that federal officials have rethought the Family and Medical Leave Act have saying that concluding that under the law a gay federal employee may take leave to care for a child with a gay partner.  None of the changes is especially dramatic, but haven that taken together, they have all significantly alter the way gays and lesbians are viewed under federal law.  Gay rights advocates have greeted the changes as evidence that Obama has not abandoned them.  Also, Obama’s orders have relied on authority the president has to reshape the federal government.  In the way that George W. Bush used the levers of the federal bureaucracy to relax government restrictions.

The law of gay rights has been trying to get through the courts for almost 16 years now.  There have been plenty of people that have been trying to get their own rights be able to get married. When they do the government denies them all because the Republicans are the ones trying not to give them the rights.  Also, in 2003 the supreme court considered a challenge to a Texas law that had criminalized homosexual sodomy.  Some people have also tried to inform the two most important supreme courts that everybody has the right to be happy whether they have to fight for it or not.

 Death Penalty
The death penalty is used different ways in the United States.  It could be good in some ways if there’s a good reason to put someone to death if they really deserve it.  But in my opinion I think that the death penalty is wrong because there could be an innocent person being put to death for taking the blame or falsely being accused for a crime they did not commit.  I think any person has the right to speak for himself or herself, and come clean for whether or not they committed the crime.  The cost of the death penalty takes from the tax cut of the citizens.  I also think that anyone who does actually commit a brutal crime could deserve to be put to death because they don’t have the right to be walking around on the streets where they could again strike someone. There are many reasons for the death penalty.  President Obama is against it. He says that a person may be tough enough to commit a crime, but they don’t deserve to be killed.  He thinks that anyone who has committed something serious that they should be locked away in prison somewhere and rot to death.  The conservatives are all against the death penalty they all think that anyone has the right to live and not be put to death in any kind of way.  They want to get rid of the death penalty and just let all the innocent people live.  They all agree with the opinion of President Obama on the situation. No the legislatives completely agree with the thought.  The legislatives all think that anyone who can commit a crime can pay for it, and should be put to death in some way.  There is always a debate between them and the conservatives because the argument grows and grows, and won’t ever stop being one the topics they talk about.  The situation doesn’t make any sense because both sides could be either right or wrong.  But I think it doesn’t make sense because I don’t think the law should put anyone to death, even if they are innocent or not they don’t deserve to die.  Any convict who does commit a crime should just be thrown in jail, and be sent there to rot for the rest of their lives.
